A Comic in 20 Days (ages 17+)

Can you create a comic in 20 days? From planning and scripting to pencilling and inking, this workshop led by Russell Olson, will guide you through this highly intricate process. Russell is the creator of the sci-fi noir series Gateway City, and draws Cult Empire’s Lady Hollywood. He has worked with It’s Alive Press, Mad Robot Comics, and Accent UK.

Isambard Brunel Multi Storey Car Park has 460 spaces and is 200m from Portsmouth Guildhall. When attending a show with us you can purchase an ‘exit ticket’ for this car park, either at the point of booking or on the day of the show, at the price of £4.50. Exit tickets must be exchanged for the ticket taken at the barrier and are valid from 6pm – 12am on the evening of the show. Exit tickets can be collected during Box Office opening hours and before the start of a show.

Disabled parking

Blue Badge holders are exempt from pay and display charges in Portsmouth City Council owned car parks – just display your badge. This is not the case with NCP owned car parks or the Isambard Brunel Multi Storey car park.

We want to ensure that you have the best possible experience when visiting our Grade II listed venue. If you require assistance whilst in our building please ask a member of staff and we will help in any way we can. Carers are eligible for free tickets. There is gentle ramp access into our main foyer for wheelchair users and those with limited mobility. From the main foyer you can access the stalls, our café and lifts to all other floors. The steps inside the auditorium are quite shallow – our staff can advise on the best routes and access points at the time of booking or on your arrival. We have a limited number of wheelchair spaces in our auditorium which are bookable by calling or emailing our Box Office, these can not be booked online. Portsmouth Guildhall has accessible toilets on the Basement level which can be accessed by lifts on both sides of the main foyer areas. Hearing and Guide dogs are welcome but please inform Box Office at the time of booking as there is limited space available. If you do not wish to take your dog into the auditorium, our venue staff will ensure they are well looked after!
