Do you love the sound of the harp and want to learn to play? TWANG! is a fun and innovative music workshop with 20-string multi-coloured harps. No experience? No problem. It’s time to TWANG!
TWANG! is a music education project using lap harps. Bringing together the fundamentals of music with 15 multi-coloured lap harps, TWANG! is designed for Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 supporting the objectives of the music curriculum.
TWANG! firmly believes that children need to experience and participate in music making to enjoy and understand all elements of music. TWANG! provides a platform for young music makers to enjoy group co-operation and cohesion using an approach that combines elements of the Kodaly method and the Orff approach. By engaging children not only through playing but with singing, clapping, body percussion and movement, TWANG! creates a fun musical journey where each child can achieve.
Sessions are run by an experienced facilitator, harpist, musician and teacher with PGCE qualification and classroom experience across KS1 and KS2.
